Overview

The internet is an exciting place to explore and go shopping. While most students do not have the financial resources to actually purchase items online, this lesson provides an opportunity to "practice" shopping on the global information highway, staying within a specified budget. By doing so, students will:

• Develop problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Practice buying items within a budget
• Use arithmetic skills in a concrete, real-world context
• Meaningfully calculate percentages (Levels 2 and 3)
• Creatively explore the internet (Level 3)
